Electric storage units
There are two types of electric hot water storage units; Low pressure and mains pressure. Low pressure hot water units or gravity fed are ceiling water units.
Mains pressure hot water units are found externally. If a low pressure unit gets
to the end of its life expectancy, clients usually change to an external unit.
If gas runs to your house you also have the option of gas storage unit or gas instantaneous unit as a replacement, this would require a site inspection to
evaluate running the gas line to the new unit.
Gas storage units
This is the usual installation in Australian homes that have gas lines to their property.
They are available in both low pressure hot water units (ceiling units) and mains
pressure hot water units.
Continuous Flow Gas Hot Water Units (Instantaneous)
Energy efficient units that allow you to heat water as you use it. They do not store water, they heat the water on demand. They are ideal for homes and unit where there is minimal outside space. They come in a range of brands and types. Manual, battery powered and mains electric pilot light options available to suit all budgets. Units are able to have the hot water set via Temperature Control Panels connected to the unit and used safely from the kitchen, bathroom and laundry with a touch of a button. The controllers promote safe temperature usage for the children's bath time and ability to wash up those dishes in nice hot water all from the same hot water unit.
