Blocked drains & storm water cleans

TREE ROOTS
Adelaide has a lovely dry climate which makes for a great hot summers, but combine that with trees and it can cause problems for house drains.
GREASE, HAIR & FOREIGN OBJECTS
Washing oil from your cooking pans and hair down your sink can contribute over time to blockages in your waste pipes, drains branches and into your main drain. Toys and other small objects find their way into the toilet and can be the cause of your blockage.
DRAIN BREAKAGES
Drain pipes themselves can be the cause of a blockage. Old terracotta pipes tend to implode over time under the pressure of surrounding soil. Tree roots can strangle pipes causing collapses also. These types of problems can be fixed by replacing the damaged section of pipe work.
Simple explanation of drains

A blockage may occur in a branch of your drain, main drain or at the government inspection point. The government or street drain can also become blocked.
Inspection points are used to inspect your drain. This is also where the drain will be cleared from. They are usually 100mm diameter pipe with a cap to seal them.
Government inspection point either at front or rear of your house shows the connnection from the street to your house.
